Hello, my name is Jann Bedayo, and I graduated from Wayne State University, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. My journey into the field of communications began with a desire to find a major that aligned with my interests. I discovered a passion for social media, content creation, and digital marketing!

In my current role as a Marketing and Event Coordinator at United Community Family Services (UCFS-CALC), I developed and executed communication strategies to increase community engagement and visibility for the organization’s programs. My role included creating and managing social media content, coordinating event promotions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth planning and execution of community events. I leveraged analytics tools to track performance, strengthen outreach, and highlight impact, while also fostering partnerships that supported both marketing initiatives and event success. 

Throughout my college career, I had the opportunity to intern at non-profit and for profit organizations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support internal and external communications. One of my most notable accomplishments was organizing and promoting internal events across social media platforms and company intranets, which improved engagement and internal visibility. 

I am now seeking a new full-time opportunity that allows me to continue leveraging my creative and communication skills in a collaborative environment. I value workplaces that foster open communication, creativity, and growth. Through my internships, I’ve gained insight into the kind of roles and cultures that align with my strengths and aspirations. Looking ahead, my mission is to continually evolve as a communications professional and I am excited to contribute to a team where I can make a meaningful impact!
