Hello, my name is Jann Bedayo, and I graduated from Wayne State University, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. My journey into the field of communications began with a desire to find a major that aligned with my interests. While I initially explored other options, communications resonated with me due to its diverse and dynamic nature. Through this path, I discovered a passion for social media, content creation, and event communication.

In my most recent role as a Freelance Social Media Manager for HairLines Salon & Spa, I gained hands-on experience in managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and growing a brand’s online presence. Prior to that, in my sophomore year of college I served as Co-Creative Director for Wayne State’s Filipino Student Society (FIL-SOC), where I co-led social media strategy, created graphics and captions, documented events, and even co-produced a podcast on YouTube. This role solidified my interest in digital media and set the course for my career in social media management and content creation.

Throughout my college career, I had the opportunity to intern at several organizations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support internal and external communications. One of my most notable accomplishments was organizing and promoting internal events across social media platforms and company intranets, which improved engagement and internal visibility. These experiences have helped me develop strong project management, content creation, and communication skills.

I am now seeking a full-time opportunity that allows me to continue leveraging my creative and communication skills in a collaborative environment. I value workplaces that foster open communication, creativity, and growth. Through my internships with both non-profit organizations and corporate companies, I’ve gained insight into the kind of roles and cultures that align with my strengths and aspirations.

Looking ahead, my mission is to continually evolve as a communications professional, honing my skills through independent learning and freelance work. I am excited to contribute to a team where I can make a meaningful impact while continuing to grow professionally.
